Every young kid gets some bumps and bruises during childhood. We are expecting it daily - what with all the running around, jumping, climbing and roughhousing with Maple. However, we didn't expect for Porter to get a huge black eye while in the tub. He managed to slip (even with a rubber bath mat) and slam his cheekbone/eye on the edge of the tub. It was pretty traumatic for all of us, but he was fine after about 5 minutes of crying. This is a pic from the morning after:
