You all have asked what you can do to help us out. Honestly, we had no clue what our family and friends could do other than send positive thoughts our way. Well, after a week of living in Pitt Memorial Hospital and sleeping at the Ronald McDonald House, we think we've finally found a way.
The price of a hotel room close to the hospital is roughly $75 per night ...depending on where you stay. Add meals on top of that and after a week or so you're talking a wad of cash. We are very fortunate to be able to stay at the house. All that is asked of us is to donate $10 each night we stay. Not all families are as fortunate as us...as we've witnessed over this past week. Some families can't even afford the $10 a night donation they ask for. We've never consider ourselves philanthropists, but this is the closest thing to a sure bet as you'll ever see. Every cent you donate to this house, stays with this house. $10 is all we're asking for. It will provide a roof over the head of a family going through similar life altering events like we have.
